Wednesday, December 6th

Join us along with your spouse and other pickleball friends for a festive evening. We will be collecting for area food shelves, along with playing some friendly pickleball, eating some and more! This is a social gathering, so we encourage ALL IAPA members to attend — including any injured players who have not been able to get on the courts.  We’ve missed you!  Wear something holidayish … Christmas socks, tee, sweater (for those not playing pickleball!), etc.

Our club wants to give back to the community by collecting items that are so needed for individuals in our area.  We have worked hard in many ways to build the courts and have asked for community support.  Let’s give back and show our goodwill!  We will also be taking a group photo to share our efforts.  Feel free to bring any holiday attire to wear specifically for the picture!

FOOD SHELF COLLECTING: We would like to collect non-perishable food items or supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, toiletries, etc. and donate them to area food shelves.   We are asking all IAPA members to bring items to the IREC gym that evening and goods will be delivered later that week.  We are a generous group, so please check your pantry for anything you can donate! We will also accept money for the food shelves.

CHRISTMAS SEASON GATHERING:  Play or gather or do both, just come enjoy the evening with us. We would ask that interested members bring a plate of Christmas cookies, an appetizer, OR whatever sounds good to share (It can be something healthy too!).  Coffee, water, plates, utensils and napkins will be provided. Bring your own non-alcoholic beverage. No RSVP needed.

Plan for the evening:

5:00 p.m. — Community Room will be open for social gathering

5:30 p.m. — Open, friendly pickleball play for those interested

If you are unable to attend, please contact Patti Keding and she’ll be happy to take your donated food shelf items at another time – prior to the event on December 6th.
